About Peaceful Art Jewelry

Cindy Thorrington Haggerty
“She Who Smiles with her Eyes”

ART WORK by Cindy Thorrington Haggerty

Over the years Cindy has been doing artwork since a little girl. Her mother
still has one of her first oil paintings she did in grade school of the
traditional fruit bowl. At that time everyone knew that Cindy was going
to do something in art.
Cindy has grown through her years using art to make jewelry as you can read from her BIO's all over the Internet. As of the past year in 2007 she decided to go back to working on art as a full time weekend job and in the evenings from the Jewelry Studio giving her peace as she sets with her two cats and mother. She finds that this is a way to spend time of her fast busy jewelry life with giving time to her elderly mother and still feeling relaxation away from the computer and office work of the week...
Cindy likes to create her art in the fantasy world of art. She loves slipping way into world where she is safe from everyday life and dream of things that
bring her happiness and portray that in her art. She is a lover of symbolism and interpretations of ways to convey her dreams so others can find their own way through her art for a meaning of their own. She loves to work on
American Indian Art, Motorcycle Art, Fantasy Art, Red Hat Art and find ways to intermingle them even sometimes.
Cindy is a master at using colored pencils and ink as a mixed medium. She has found ways to bring color into play with pencil and highlight with ink. She is now studying on how to enhance her backgrounds through water color. She is beginning to use some techniques of adding acrylic to the last steps to bring out light in her work.
Some say that mixed mediums are not the ways of a true artist. That is something that she feels is debatable. In the world of computers people are beginning to mix all kinds of mediums to achieve their best work and she feels that if she does her main piece and sticks with the tradition art supplies and comes up with a finished product that she is happy to frame she is happy. She can then do as others do now and go to the computer and add some highlights and enhance colors and feel she is not cheating the media or her fans. She says "she loves to stick to the old styles and mingle the new as she does with her jewelry and the way she lives her life." Cindy is a big believer in the old ways of life when things were wholesome, simple and healthy from her elders generations. She believes that if you grab some ways of your grandparents and apply them to your life you will have a happy balance and truly live a more fulfilling life with less expense and better for our earth.

 Dana M Burns

Mystic

Girl Friday for Peaceful Art Jewelry Design, LLC.  Dana is from Alabama and met Cindy as a customer of some Red Hat Jewelry in 2005.  From the beginning Dana felt a bond with Cindy, just from a couple of correspondences.  She continued to send Cindy cards several times during the year.  Then Cindy saw Mystic's MySpace Page:

www.myspace.com/danamburns

and asked if she would do one for her:  www.myspace.com/peacefulartjewl and www.myspace.com/redhatbub came to be.

Since 2005 Mystic made her first webpage, http://hometown.aol.com/danamburns.  Her husband, designed the local Red Cross webpage and Dana helped in maintaining it.  In 2006 Mystic made her first MySpace page.  Then friends and family wanted pages and she made theirs too.  Some took over once they started and others she still maintains.

In the year 2007 Mystic began to maintain Peaceful Art Jewelry Design website.  In 2008 came the newsletter designs, the Moonbeams Spirit Dreams Forum, Interviewing for the webpage, manager of our on line store, and her first editorial on Cindy Thorrington Haggerty and Peaceful Art in the Bikers 2000 magazine.

In 2004, a life-changing event happened for Dana.  She became disabled and many of the things that she previously did were not possible any longer.  So she had to find other things to occupy her and the computer became an outlet.  When Cindy from Peaceful Art came along it was a godsend.  She has encouraged and pushed Dana to go way beyond her comfortable box.  Although we are miles away - thanks to the Internet - it is so great to be able to help Peaceful Art Jewelry Design become the reality that the DREAM has started.

Mystic, Dana M Burns, lives in Alabama with her husband.  They have two beautiful daughters, a delightful grandson,  and a new granddaughter on the way.
